About The Artist

 

Emily Rhodes is a mixed media artist specializing in the integration of digital art and encaustic painting.  Emily was classically trained in Milan, Italy then went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Tasmania. There, her style was infused with the nature and light-hearted ease of Australian culture.

 

Today, from her home in Charleston, SC, she creates artwork that explores the relationships we form with the objects we encounter and the places we go. Her work seeks to celebrate the stories revealed to us by their unique and personal histories. Whether it’s a stroke of paint, the touch of a fingerprint, or something we cannot see, just below the surface lay a sea of memories. Through a mix of media, colors, and textures, each layer of her artwork reveals a tiny memoir.
